The purpose of ACFA is to fill a void for authors of Christian fiction who write in genres that don't appeal to the CBA core readership, or whose books are published by houses not belonging to the CBA. This, of course, doesn't mean that CBA authors aren't welcome. The idea is to be inclusive, with a unified purpose of support, encouragement and helping one another in furthering goals.

Why ACFA Was Begun
My hope is that ACFA can eventually fill a void for authors of Christian
fiction who write in genres that don't appeal to the CBA core readership, or whose books are published by houses not belonging to the CBA.
It's been my observation that there is a bit of a void in this area.
This, of course, doesn't mean that CBA authors aren't welcome. The idea
is to be inclusive, with a unified purpose of support, encouragement and
helping one another in furthering goals; and to help readers find books that challenge, inspire, and entertain.
